We are close to turning the page on 2012 and may feel a sense of regret for things we did not do during the year. We do not often take the time to stop and smell the roses. One of the greatest aspects of the holiday season is all of the wonderful aromas. The smell of baked goods or scented candles or oils can be so comforting. Our sense of smell can be a gateway to calm and relaxation so it is best to use it as much as possible, especially during the holidays when everything can seem so hustle and bustle.
 
Practice Tip: Ask yourself and every member of your household what their favorite aromas are. Once you have a list, identify an aroma of the day or week and schedule it. This could be a fun addition to your calendar. If it ...

We have a lot of commitments and responsibilities throughout the year. During the holiday season, our schedules can seem a bit overwhelming as we attend holiday events and parties on weekday evenings and weekends throughout the month of December.
 
Although special holiday events can be filled with fun, laughter, and love, they can be exhausting to a caregiver who is already running on fumes.
