Even those of us who are extremely conscientious can make an error.  Sometimes when overtired, a caregiver may forget an appointment, misplace mail or keys, or make a late bill payment.  Caregiver mistakes may lead to frustration, self-criticism, and grumpiness.  When in this state, the caregiver may be susceptible to a short fuse and lash out in a burst of anger. This is a sign of being human.

We spend a lot of time in deep concentration and effort to meet a variety of serious tasks and responsibilities.  At times, some of the challenges we deal with can be quite sad or or hurtful.  This can be especially true for caregivers who support loved ones suffering with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia.

No matter what your age, regular exercise is a vitally important component of life but especially so for seniors. It can be easy to get into a sedimentary routine but this can lead to poor health and inactivity as you reach those golden years so how can seniors stay active both in body and mind this New Year?
